I am interested in nonequilibrium systems and their collective behaviors. Both theoretical and numerical simulations are used in understanding various biological and non-biological systems.

Focus on the following areas:

(1) Amorphous materials with complete photonic bandgap based on self-propelled Voronoi model.

(2) How does the variability of single-cell affect the jamming behavior of the system?

(3) Mechanical metamaterials with phonon band gaps inspired by biological tissues.
