My main interest is the modeling of physical phenomena from mathematical and computational standpoints. In particular, my current research centers on understanding how the adaptive immune system is able to discriminate self from foreign cells and healthy from cancer cells by formulating models describing the interaction of the immune system’s T cells with antigens at a molecular and at a repertoire level, in hope that such understanding can help in advancing immunotherapy as a successful treatment for cancer.
