We are thrilled to congratulate Dr. Kevin Ng Chau on the successful completion of his Ph.D. and are excited to share that he has embarked on a new journey, working in private industry in Argentina.
Research at CTBP
During his time at the Center for Theoretical Biological Physics (CTBP), Dr. Ng Chau’s research focused on modeling physical phenomena through mathematical and computational approaches. His work explored the adaptive immune system and how it distinguishes:
-
Self vs. foreign cells
-
Healthy vs. cancerous cells
By formulating advanced models describing the interactions of T cells with antigens—both at the molecular and repertoire levels—his research provided critical insights into immune system mechanisms. This work aims to advance immunotherapy approaches, offering potential pathways toward more effective treatments for cancer.
Looking Ahead
Dr. Ng Chau’s transition into private industry marks an exciting new chapter, where he will continue applying his expertise in computational modeling, systems biology, and theoretical physics to impactful real-world challenges.
We are incredibly proud of Dr. Ng Chau’s accomplishments and wish him continued success in his professional journey. His contributions to CTBP and the broader scientific community will have a lasting impact.
