Paul Whitford Promoted to Professor
We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Paul Whitford to the position of Professor. Paul Whitford has been a pivotal figure in advancing our understanding of the dynamics of large-scale molecular assemblies, such as the ribosome, viral capsids, and the SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein. His innovative research has contributed significantly to the field of molecular biophysics, where he and his team have developed groundbreaking theoretical and computational approaches.
Whitford earned his PhD in Physics (Biophysics) from the University of California, San Diego, and since then, his research group has been at the forefront of exploring complex molecular processes across diverse time and length scales. His promotion is a testament to his dedication to scientific discovery and his commitment to advancing biophysics.
